Clete Winkelmann

On behalf of the Board of Trustees and Foundation Board of Directors, the Children’s Home is happy to announce that Clete Winkelmann is the new President & CEO of Children’s Home.  

Clete is a dynamic individual with a passion and commitment for working in the human services field. He has more than 22 years of demonstrated experience and leadership working in the child welfare system throughout the state of Illinois and most recently served as President & CEO of the United Methodist Children’s Home in Mt. Vernon.

Clete’s experience is diverse and multifaceted. He has been the driving force in expanding the size of his current agency as well as the scope and quality of programming available to the children and families of southern Illinois. He is significantly involved in the child welfare system at the state level and has a firm grasp on the strategic issues facing organizations, like Children’s Home, in the years ahead
